Shiney Ahuja sentenced to seven years in imprison
Award-winning Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja was sentenced to seven years in prison for raping his maid. Shiney Ahuja was granted bail in October 2009 and ordered by the court NOT to leave Mumbai, the home of Bollywood, three months after he was arrested on charges of rape, criminal intimidation and wrongful confinement of his maid who is now 20 years old.
The 37-year-old Bollywood Actor will appeal against the sentence in the Mumbai High Court says his lawyer Srikant Shivade while speaking to reporters. Shiney Ahuja won a slew of awards for his 2003 debut in the critically acclaimed “Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi”. According to his lawyer, the actor has maintained his innocence throughout the judicial process.
During the period of 18 months between his arrest and sentencing to jail for 7 years, the actor is said to have worked for a new film ‘The Accident’. While talking to reporters Ramkamal Mukherjee, the head of corporate communications at Pritish Nandy Communications says “Shiney finished shooting for ‘The Accident’ a while back. But we haven’t decided when to release it. That’s a marketing and business decision,”
Another film featuring Ahuja, which has been ready for release for more than two years, has also not come out. Shiney Ahuja is married and has a young daughter.
The sentencing of a movie star in India is rare. Sanjay Dutt was sent to prison in 2007 under India’s tough anti-terrorist laws for possessing a powerful firearm, while Salman Khan was found guilty in 2006 of shooting an endangered species of antelope.

Shahrukh Khan to liplock kiss to Kareena
Bollywood Gossip: Bollywood Superstar Shahrukh Khan might have carried the tag of being a romantic hero for decades but the king of romance had never lip-locked with any of his co-actress in his long tenure of acting career. He has maintained his no-kisser image for long time. But now, Shahrukh Khan has decided to shed his shy image and kiss his ladylove Kareena Kapoor (Bebo) in his upcoming Bollywood Movie ‘Ra. One’.
It is rumored that for a romantic track in ‘Ra. One’, Bebo and SRK will indulge in a deep smooch.
When contacted, an insider from the film says, “The buzz about them having smooched is very strong indeed. There have been so many queries on this kiss so far, but sorry we can’t divulge anything related to the film at all.”
However, a close friend of the superstar rubbishes the rumor, “No way!” says the source. “Shah Rukh’s never ever done it before. It’s a promise he’d made and he won’t break it for anything. Besides, he’s never had to resort to kissing-on-the-lips for his romantic image. He’s definitely not doing it now!” added the good friend.

Shirdi Sai in and as Nagarjuna
It is known news that recently a new project was announced and this is based on the life of Shirdi Sai Baba. The story is smooth till there but trouble has begun at few corners after it was revealed that the title role is going to be donned by none other than Nagarjuna.
It is heard that few long time devotees of Shirdi Sai have raised an objection. They said “Nagarjuna has married one person, left her and married again. He has been involved with IT raids. He drinks, smokes and is also known for his Casanova image. His linkups with few heroines have been another highlight.”
They also add ”He was seen as a devotee in ‘Annamayya’ ‘Bhakta Ramadasu’ that’s okay but we cannot see him as God. Given his image and history, we cannot accept this.” Well, few cine folks say that the contention of the Shirdi Sai devotees is genuine but then it remains to be seen how Nag and director K Raghavendra Rao will handle these objections.
